Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (San Diego, CA)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Forge Freight and adding a Senior Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for proof of delivery and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
