Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (Rochester, NY)

Ironwood Forge Freight Group is a Rochester logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 31 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer tracking. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
