Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (Rochester, NY)

Lumen Stone Transit Planning Partners plans bus and rail service for cities around Rochester. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 33 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Track performance measures for service alerts and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with ridership counts. • Lean or continuous-improvement training.
