Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (Rochester, NY)

Cedar Quarry Energy is looking for a Senior Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for usage data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for usage data and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with outage response. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
