Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (Reno, NV)

Lumen Umber Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Reno. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for test reports and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with equipment calibration. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Reno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
