Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Redstone Orchard Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Fresno working with agencies and riders, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for route schedules and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with ridership counts. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Fresno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
