Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Northwind Maple Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Wichita and nearby communities, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 88 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for treatment plant data and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with pipe repairs. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Wichita. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
