Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Amberfield Junction Manufacturing manufactures parts and assemblies at its Knoxville plant. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on vendor management. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for scrap and rework and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with tooling. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Knoxville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
