Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (Providence, RI)

Ironwood Bright Water Authority Group is a public water utility serving the Providence area, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Providence. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for pipe repairs and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with treatment plant data. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
