Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (Portland, OR)

Summit Harbor Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Portland, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would join a large organisation of about 403 people based in Portland. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for recycling loads and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with weigh tickets. • Lean or continuous-improvement training.
