Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (Portland, OR)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Fern Freight and adding a Senior Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for proof of delivery and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Portland. • We reply to every applicant.
