Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (Madison, WI)

Summit Field Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Madison and nearby communities, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for capital projects and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Madison, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
