Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (Las Vegas, NV)

Fernwood Meridian Foods Group produces packaged foods at its Las Vegas plant, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for production batches and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with customer specifications. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Las Vegas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
