Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (Kansas City, MO)

Summit Beacon Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Kansas City and nearby communities, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Kansas City. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for meter reading and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with treatment plant data. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Kansas City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
