Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (Kansas City, MO)

Fernwood Bridge Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Kansas City with routes, transfer stations and recycling. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a large organisation of about 591 people based in Kansas City. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with recycling loads. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Kansas City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
