Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (Jacksonville, FL)

Fernwood Sparrow Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Jacksonville design routes and schedules, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for ridership counts and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with service alerts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Jacksonville. • We reply to every applicant.
