Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (Grand Rapids, MI)

We are growing our team at Summit Thistle Construction and adding a Senior Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for permits and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with change orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
