Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (Grand Rapids, MI)

We are growing our team at Summit Rook Manufacturing and adding a Senior Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. You would join a large organisation of about 712 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for tooling and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with machine downtime. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
