Senior Operations Manager - vendor management (Austin, TX)

Highbridge Orchard Farms is looking for a Senior Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for seasonal crews, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Weather sets the schedule, and we plan around it. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for seasonal crews and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with cold storage. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
