Senior Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Rochester, NY)

Bright Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around Rochester, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for recycling loads and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with service complaints. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
