Senior Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Bright Ember Manufacturing Group manufactures parts and assemblies at its Rochester plant. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for machine downtime and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Rochester. • We reply to every applicant.
