Senior Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Fernwood Orchard Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Philadelphia, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for recycling loads and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with collection routes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Philadelphia. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
