Senior Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Rivermark Basin Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Grand Rapids, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would join a small organisation of about 23 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for route schedules and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with ridership counts. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
