Senior Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Nova Vista Water Authority is a public water utility serving the San Jose area, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would join a small organisation of about 44 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for billing accounts and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with capital projects. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
