Senior Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Bright Orchard Freight Group coordinates shipments and warehousing around San Antonio, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in San Antonio. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
