Senior Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Memphis, TN)

Summit Mill Freight is looking for a Senior Operations Manager. The job centres on throughput and quality for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for loads and lanes and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Memphis. • We reply to every applicant.
