Senior Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Kansas City, MO)

Amberfield Wilder Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Kansas City, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Kansas City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
