Senior Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Jackson, MS)

Westbrook Union Transit Planning is looking for a Senior Operations Manager. The job centres on throughput and quality for route schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 81 people based in Jackson. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for route schedules and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with ridership counts. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Jackson, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
