Senior Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Grand Rapids, MI)

Greenridge Yarrow Farms grows and distributes produce from farms near Grand Rapids. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. Weather sets the schedule, and we plan around it. What you will do • Track performance measures for cold storage and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with harvest schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
