Senior Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Grand Rapids, MI)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Beacon Water Authority and adding a Senior Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be throughput and quality. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for billing accounts and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
