Senior Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Grand Rapids, MI)

Ironwood Stone Environmental Services Group is looking for a Senior Operations Manager. The job centres on throughput and quality for landfill records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 743 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for landfill records and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with service complaints. • Lean or continuous-improvement training.
