Senior Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Willow Auto Group and adding a Senior Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be throughput and quality. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for customer estimates and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with service appointments. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
