Senior Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Des Moines, IA)

Westbrook Lantern Auto Group is looking for a Senior Operations Manager. The job centres on throughput and quality for parts orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Technicians are respected and trained. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for parts orders and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer estimates. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
