Senior Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Des Moines, IA)

Lumen Harbor Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Des Moines with routes, transfer stations and recycling. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. Safety briefings happen every morning. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for weigh tickets and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with collection routes. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
