Senior Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Austin, TX)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Fern Freight and adding a Senior Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be throughput and quality. You would join a small organisation of about 48 people based in Austin. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for loads and lanes and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with customer tracking. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
