Senior Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Wichita, KS)

Fernwood Vista Construction is looking for a Senior Operations Manager. The job centres on scheduling and capacity for materials orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Site safety is non-negotiable. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for materials orders and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with project schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Wichita. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
