Senior Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Rochester, NY)

Nova Orchard Environmental Services Group serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Rochester. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of about 561 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for service complaints and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with recycling loads. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
