Senior Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Rochester, NY)

Ironwood Hollow Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Rochester, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for claims and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer tracking. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
