Senior Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (remote)

Cedar Bridge Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Kansas City, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. We reward reliability. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for claims and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with customer tracking. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Kansas City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
