Senior Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (remote)

Cedar Orchard Freight is looking for a Senior Operations Manager. The job centres on scheduling and capacity for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for loads and lanes and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with claims.
