Senior Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (remote)

Fernwood Ashton Freight Group moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Austin. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of about 779 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for proof of delivery and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Austin. • We reply to every applicant.
