Senior Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (remote)

Summit Juniper Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Cleveland. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would join a small organisation of about 17 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track performance measures for dock schedules and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Cleveland. • We reply to every applicant.
