Senior Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Philadelphia, PA)

Nova Birch Freight is a Philadelphia logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Track performance measures for proof of delivery and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Philadelphia. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
