Senior Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Grand Rapids, MI)

Foxglove Fern Freight is a Grand Rapids logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. We reward reliability. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for proof of delivery and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
