Senior Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Grand Rapids, MI)

Northwind Mill Transit Planning Group is looking for a Senior Operations Manager. The job centres on scheduling and capacity for fare systems, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with ridership counts. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
