Senior Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Des Moines, IA)

Silverline Bright Manufacturing makes precision components in Des Moines, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for machine downtime and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer orders. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
