Senior Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Wichita, KS)

Amberfield Lakeside Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Wichita with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Wichita. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with recycling loads. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Wichita. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
