Senior Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Tucson, AZ)

Fernwood Umber Transit Planning is looking for a Senior Operations Manager. The job centres on safety and compliance for fare systems, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 21 people based in Tucson. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for fare systems and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with route schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Tucson, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
