Senior Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Rochester, NY)

Northwind Forge Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Rochester with routes, transfer stations and recycling. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would join a small organisation of about 11 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for weigh tickets and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with collection routes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
