Senior Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Rochester, NY)

Northwind Orchard Freight Group is a Rochester logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. We reward reliability. What you will do • Track performance measures for proof of delivery and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
